First an apology.

I knew continuing a travel blog once returning home wouldn’t be easy. I wanted to continue the story I had begun telling. But in the midst of trying to find content I deemed worthy, I was also struggling with finding purpose and a road forward back home. I knew what I wanted but I didn’t necessarily know how I would get there.

Finally, after over a hundred job applications, numerous interviews, several final interviews, many rejections, some referrals and one or two offers, I have decided to start my own business. It’s already been a long journey back home, over four months of agitation and uncertainty, a desire to find meaning. I would say it boiled down to a desperation to just find work at some points. But I was reluctant to jump into something I didn’t truly want.

The uncertainty hasn’t gone, nor the desperation. But now it’s focused. I would argue the stakes are higher now, but at least it is in my own hands.

Whilst I used this blog to document my journey travelling in Costa Rica and seeing where that took me. This time round I will be documenting my journey through starting my own business. I won’t be linking the business directly to this blog. Not at first at least. Mainly because I want this space to be an unfiltered documentation of my start-up. I don’t want sway things in a way that would put the thought of a potential client’s interests first. I want to be able to say I have no idea what I’m doing, that I’m scared and this could all fail. At the same time, I like to think with time, this story could be associated with my business. Presenting an archive of my journey from the very start.

I will talk more about my new business venture in the following blog post. Whilst I hope to tell an authentic narration of my business I will still post updates of interesting stories along the way. Whether through travel or elsewhere. Photography is something I enjoy and again I still hope to share those photos with you when they come. You could imagine my business documentation as a new series of posts I will be telling through updates here. Whilst still posting regular updates of stories and photography as usual.

This time round I want to make more of an effort to post regular content to an email list too. Please feel free to sign-up for email alerts on new posts and exclusive content I share with my email list. I want to thank everybody who takes the time to visit the page and read my story.
